This unique Exhibition is the first place in the world where Steel Sculptures, inspired by fairy tales, movies, literature or history are made of elements from the recycling of scrap metal. The figures can be touched by the visitors, they can get into each vehicle, play with favorite characters.
But this exhibition is not just artistry and fun. It is also proof of how different techniques of recycling and new ways ofthinking about ecology can look like. Living proof that the problem of using resources can be faced creatively.
The beginning was innocent: the sttel artists started with a table with a glass top, made on the basis of a V8 engine from an old car. Today, the collection has 600 figures that can be admired in various places around Europe. Each figure requires 1 to 8 months of work, while car sculptures require the longest time – during their creation, 4 craftsmen work up to 7,000 man-hours.
At the same time, all figures are exclusively hand-made: the steel artists do not use castings or heavy machinery. The basic tools are simply a welding machine, a burner, a hammer and a trimmer. Thanks to this, each of the works on display is literally unique.
The Steel Sculpture Exhibition consists of over 80 sculptures inspired by movie, comics and cartoon characters, legendary cars and motorcycles in the scale of 1: 1, created by artists from around the world. A unique exhibition for visitors of all ages.
